Stained Glass is a heartfelt drama about a young girl, Isidora, who forms an unlikely friendship with her reclusive neighbor, Mr. Bern, a grumpy, misunderstood painter living on the outskirts of the community. I served as Production Designer, where our focus was developing the visual world of Mr. Bern’s home — a space that needed to feel dark, moody, and intimately cluttered with his art, books, and personal collections. Every corner of the house tells the story of a man who has created his own private world to occupy his solitary life. Through careful set dressing and thoughtful attention to textures and lighting, we aimed to reflect both the isolation of Mr. Bern and the transformative impact of Isidora’s presence, visually underscoring the delicate balance between solitude, creativity, and human connection.
