Long Shadows is a Western drama directed by William Shockley, set in the 1880s American West. It follows Dallas Garrett (Dermot Mulroney), a man torn between vengeance for his parents’ murder and his love for Martha (Sarah Cortez). The film also features Dominic Monaghan, Jacqueline Bisset, Chris Mulkey, and Ronnie Gene Blevins, exploring themes of trauma, love, and redemption against the rugged frontier.
I had the opportunity to work on this project as the Art Director, under the guidance of production designer Daniel Koenig. In this role, I helped establish the film’s visual tone and translated conceptual ideas into built environments that supported the storytelling. I coordinated and led the scenic art and construction teams, ensuring the sets captured both the authenticity of the American West and the emotional depth of the narrative. From start to finish, I was deeply involved in bringing the director’s and designer’s vision to life on screen.
