Shattered Ice is a sports drama by Jake Miskin, inspired by his real life high school experiences. Starring Charlie Gillespie as Will Mankus, the film follows a New England hockey player coping with his best friend’s suicide. Exploring themes of grief, resilience, and community, the film aims to spark vital conversations about youth mental health.
As the Art Director for Shattered Ice, I was primarily responsible for developing a comprehensive graphics package that supported the film’s visual storytelling. This included designing hockey game banners, newspapers, family photos, logos for fictional liquor brands, and advertisements for storefronts and benches—each element carefully crafted to enhance the authenticity and depth of the film’s world. I also assisted with transforming locations by installing temporary wallpapers and contributed to set decoration and dressing, ensuring each space felt lived-in and true to the story.
